The Duke’s Children – BIG READ

From 12th August to 4th November 2024 join Trollope enthusiasts from across the world every second Monday to discuss The Duke’s Children as we read it together on Zoom.
We will be reading the restored text of the first complete edition, which is available in several editions:
- Folio Society, published 2015
- Everyman’s Library, published 2017
- Oxford World’s Classics, published 2021
Concluding talk
On 4th November we are delighted to welcome Professor Francis O’Gorman, editor of the Oxford World’s Classics edition of Orley Farm, The Way We Live Now and The Duke’s Children. Professor O’Gorman will deliver the final talk covering the entire book.
Francis O’Gorman is Saintsbury Professor of English Literature at the University of Edinburgh. He is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, of the Royal Historical Society, and of the English Association, a Companion of the Guild of St George, and Honorary Professor in the Ruskin Library and Research Centre at the University of Lancaster. He is a very active performing musician and writes and broadcasts widely on choral and organ music.
