Alliance of Literary Societies ~ Christmas Cracker 3

The Alliance of Literary Societies is the umbrella organisation for literary societies and groups in the UK. On Tuesday 16th December the ALS is inviting all member organisations, including the Trollope Society, to join a Zoom Christmas Cracker 3 to celebrate Christmas and our shared love of literature.

This year’s theme asks a simple but entertaining question:

What would your favourite author put in their Christmas crackers?

For Trollope readers, there is no shortage of possibilities drawn from his world. You might imagine a miniature postbox in tribute to Trollope’s postal career, a little bottle of Martha Dunstable’s famous Ointment of Lebanon, or the latch key that plays such an important part in Phineas Redux. Thinking about these examples may help you decide what you would choose.

If you would like a speaking slot of up to three minutes during the ninety-minute session, simply indicate this when you register. Please note that speakers will be recorded and a video of the meeting shared on the ALS website.

Join us for an evening of good humour, lively contributions, and a celebration of the rich variety of authors that together make up the Alliance of Literary Societies.
