An Englishman traveling in Italy, who attempted to help a fellow traveler and his family get settled at Lake Como, where he had the misfortune to have one of their boxes taken to his room. Since all their money and the wife’s jewels were in that box, his embarrassment when it was found was only equaled by his anger when they accused him of stealing it.
