Daughter of the judge, who was sought in marriage by young Peregrine Orme and Felix Graham. She loved the latter, and at the end of the novel became engaged to marry him.
In a preface to his description of her, Trollope confides to his readers, "I intend that [she] shall ... be the most interesting personage in this story.""...she was very slight, and appeared to be almost too tall for her form ...but not the less were all her movements soft, graceful and fawn-like.... Her face was oval.... her nose was Grecian, but perhaps a little too wide at the nostril to he considered perfect in its chiselling. Her hair was soft and brown" - Orley Farm.
