London Seminar Group – Bring your own Trollope Reading

We will be listening to and presenting favourite Trollope readings. We will have a splendid large room, and subject matter which will be accessible to anyone – no previous knowledge of a set book or topic needed.  So we are inviting and would welcome “not-yet-Trollopians”. This is an excellent opportunity to experience Trollope or renew acquaintance with Trollope if you have not already done so.

It is not necessary to offer a reading but would appreciate anyone who is prepared to submit their favourite Trollope passage. If you wish to offer a reading please let Michael Williamson know at michael@thecleeve.freeserve.co.uk with a copy to Martin Chown at martin.chown@cantab.net know about it ahead of time so the readings can be coordinated.

Please note the dress code at the Cavalry and Guards Club is smart with jacket-and-tie for the men and an equivalent standard for the ladies.

Trollope Society Seminar Groups

Seminar groups are run by the Trollope Society. Seminar groups are a great way to read Trollope. With so many novels to choose from they provide an excellent reason to read the lesser well known works, as well as to reread the favourites! Each seminar is led by one of the members of the group, and everyone’s participation is welcomed. They are a friendly and relaxed way to enjoy Trollope, share your thoughts as well as find out more from other enthusiasts.

Non-members of the Society are very welcome to come to a seminar. If they enjoy it and want to come to this or other events in future please ask afterwards for details of membership. The contact is Michael Williamson at michael@thecleeve.freeserve.co.uk.

The cost is £12 payable on the day.

Address: Cavalry and Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly, W1J 7PX
