London Reading Group ~ The Warden

The London Reading Group will be meeting to discuss The Warden on Wednesday 26th February 2025 at 6.30pm. The venue is The Committee Room, St Peter’s Eaton Square, which is a ten minute walk from Victoria station.

In 2025, the London Reading Group will focus on Trollope novels marking significant anniversaries. This year-long programme offers an opportunity to explore Trollope’s style and his enduring characters, reflecting on their lasting appeal and significance. Join us to celebrate these milestones with thoughtful discussion.

Mark the 170th anniversary of Anthony Trollope’s The Warden, published in 1855. Reflect on the novel’s themes of integrity, duty, and societal change, and examine its enduring significance. This is an opportunity to engage deeply with Trollope’s work and explore why it continues to resonate after 170 years.

The Warden was published by London, Longmans, 1855.
