Visit to Freemasons Hall

The Trollope Society will be visiting the Freemasons’ Hall for the day after the Annual Dinner.  Tours last for one and a half to two hours and there are several cafes nearby for a cup of tea afterwards.

This is the meeting place for over 1,000 Masonic Lodges and headquarters of the United Grand Lodge of England, the oldest Lodge in the world. The present imposing Grade II* listed Lodge was actually built after Trollope died but the original Lodge meetings were most likely held in the adjacent pub still thriving today.  The guided tour includes the Library and Museum with its collection of Masonic decoration comprising pottery, porcelain, glassware, silver, furniture, clocks, prints, engravings, jewellery and regalia.

Make a provisional reservation

The cost of the tour will be £5.00 per person. If you would like to make a provisional reservation, please email Pamela Barrell on pamela.barrell@artsviews.co.uk

Pamela will then contact you again nearer the time for confirmation and payment.  If you would like to register your  interest please do email as soon as you can as she has to give names to the Freemasons’ Office.
