The Eustace Diamonds ~ London Walk

Join City of London Guide Paul Baker for a guided walk in the footsteps of Lizzie Eustace around London’s fashionable West End. The walk will cover the area around Grosvenor Square, Berkeley Square and Piccadilly — aristocratic Mayfair.

It will take in locations including Mount Street, Lizzie’s first London home after her marriage, and Hertford Street, where Lizzie took a house with Mrs Carbuncle. The walk will take about two hours to complete, which will give us time to hear about locations in other Trollope novels, and possibly visit the exact location of Mr Bonteen’s murder in Phineas Redux.

  • We will meet outside Bond Street Underground Station, at the exit on Oxford St, opposite Stratford Place. Follow exit signs to Oxford St/South Molton St/New Bond St (not the Marylebone Lane exit) for a 2.30pm departure.
  • The walk will end at Fortnum and Mason on Piccadilly around 4.30pm.
  • Ticket price £15 per person.

Join us for tea and refreshments after the walk

Following the walk you are invited to join us for an optional cup of tea and refreshments at a Caffè Concerto on Piccadilly — precise venue to be confirmed. For more info see Caffè Concerto Piccadilly.

Please pay on the day. Cash or cheque only. (Tea to be paid for separately, not included in ticket price.)
