Morris, Lucy

The governess in the house of Lady Fawn, and at one time companion to Lady Linlithgow. In love with Frank Greystock, whom she finally married.

"She was but a little thing; and it cannot be said of her ... that she was a beauty. The charm of her face consisted in the peculiar, watery brightness of her eyes, - in the corners of which it would always seem that a diamond of a tear was lurking... Her light brown hair was soft and smooth and pretty .... Her mouth was somewhat large .... Her forehead was low and broad, with prominent temples.... When she smiled there was the daintiest little dimple on her cheek... She was a little, thin, quick, graceful creature" - The Eustace Diamonds
