A converted Jew, who became chaplain to the Bishop of Brotherton. He was a bitter and voluble enemy of Dean Lovelace, but was eventually banished from the Cathedral to a vicarage at Pugsby because of conduct unbefitting a clergyman with Farmer Hawkins’ daughter.
