Castle Richmond

Castle Richmond is set in southwestern Ireland during the Great Famine of 1846 to 1847. As cousins Herbert and Owen Fitzgerald compete for Lady Clara Desmond's hand, questions of inheritance, legitimacy and duty unfold against the backdrop of famine and human suffering.
