Trollope Guided Walk in London
Join City of London Guide Paul Baker on a walk around Trollope related areas of London.
This latest walk will take us through the beautiful central London area of Marylebone. We meet at Marylebone railway station, platform 2 (the tube station emerges at ground level inside the railway station). The route will take us through some more beautiful streets and squares with close connections to AT’s life and work. And on this walk we will see three streets where he lived, and hear of three more close by. And we’ll hear a good deal about his sister Cecilia, see the church where she married John Tilley, and learn about her all-too-brief life. Recommended reading, if you have time, is Framley Parsonage. The tour should last just under two hours, and ends on Wigmore St, close by the famous Wigmore Hall (Bond Street station is nearby). We meet at 1.50pm for a 2pm start, and the walk costs £10pp, with the option of afternoon tea following the walk (extra charge).
Although it is possible just to turn up on the day, we greatly appreciate knowing who to expect – we like to know everyone has arrived when we set off. If you intend coming, please contact Paul Baker at email@example.com with a copy to Martin Chown at firstname.lastname@example.org. And if you find yourself running late on the day, you could call 07813 406 925.
