Trollope Guided Walk around Barnet/Monken Hadley

Join City of London Guide Paul Baker for a walk around Barnet and Monken Hadley.  Please meet at High Barnet tube station, 13:50 pm.

The Monken Hadley walk focusses on the period 1836-8 when Fanny Trollope rented the house called Grandon.  Anthony, working at the Post Office in London used to visit.  We hope to be allowed to see inside Grandon – no promises on that.  Also, the  churchyard where Emily lies buried.  Recommended (but not essential) pre-reading would be The Bertrams.  If  you came on Paul’s previous Barnet walk, it will be sufficiently different to attract you again — more on Trollope family than before.

Although it is possible just to turn up on the day, we greatly appreciate knowing who to expect – we like to know everyone has arrived when we set off. And if you find yourself running late on the day, you could call 07813 406 925.

Price £10 to be collected on the day. (Tea not included in the price).
