The Alliance of Literary Societies Fair

Join us for a day celebrating books, authors and readers at the Alliance of Literary Societies Fair, taking place at the Birmingham and Midland Institute on Saturday 3 October.
Organised by the Alliance of Literary Societies, the Fair will bring together literary societies from across the UK. Browse their stands, meet fellow readers and discover societies devoted to Victorian fiction, poetry, crime writing, children’s literature, the classics and much more.
Programme
There will also be a programme of talks throughout the day. James Naughtie, broadcaster, author and President of the Alliance of Literary Societies, will open the Fair, with speakers including Gyles Brandreth, Lindsey Davis, Liz Berry and Frank Cottrell-Boyce, as well as talks from literary societies.

The Trollope Society will be exhibiting at the Fair, so do come and visit our stand, meet members of the Society and find out more about our events, publications and activities.
Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Advance registration is encouraged to help the organisers estimate numbers.

Volunteer to help on the Trollope Society Stand
We are looking for volunteers to help staff the Trollope Society stand during the Fair. If you are planning to come and would be happy to lend a hand, we would love to hear from you. Volunteers can help either during the morning session, from 10.00am to 1.00pm, or the afternoon session, from 1.00pm to 4.00pm.
