The North West Reading Group will be meeting to discuss London Belongs to Me by Norman Collins on Thursday 5th December 2024 at 2.00pm. The venue is the Royal Exchange Theatre, St Ann’s Square, Manchester M2 7DH.

London Belongs to Me by Norman Collins is a richly detailed portrait of life in wartime London, centred around the residents of a South London boarding house. Like Trollope, Collins masterfully captures the everyday lives, struggles, and relationships of ordinary people, blending humour with human drama. Fans of Trollope will appreciate Collins’ vivid characterisation, social commentary, and the way he brings the intricacies of community life to the fore, offering a glimpse into a different era with the same keen eye for detail and empathy.
