The London Reading Group will be meeting to discuss The Way We Live Now on Wednesday 30th July 2025 at 6.30pm. The venue is The Committee Room, St Peter’s Eaton Square, which is a ten minute walk from Victoria station.
In 2025, the London Reading Group will focus on Trollope novels marking significant anniversaries. This year-long programme offers an opportunity to explore Trollope’s style and his enduring characters, reflecting on their lasting appeal and significance. Join us to celebrate these milestones with thoughtful discussion.
Marking the 150th anniversary of The Way We Live Now, this reading group forms part of the Trollope Society’s celebrations. Join a discussion of Trollope’s masterful critique of greed, power, and societal values, and reflect on the enduring relevance of his insights and characters in this landmark novel.

London Reading Group
The London Reading Group, run by the Trollope Society, offers a friendly, relaxed way to explore Trollope’s novels. Meetings are led by members, with everyone encouraged to participate. Non-members are welcome to attend once, after which membership is required. Volunteers to introduce sessions with a short talk are warmly invited.
Light refreshments (glass of wine or soft drink) will be served on arrival. Price £12.
