Lunch & Literary Tour of Kensal Green Cemetery
–

Join us for a guided literary tour of Kensal Green Cemetery on Friday 1st August 2025. The tour will include a visit to Anthony Trollope’s grave, which the Society hasn’t visited for several years. Before the tour we invite you to join us for a buffet lunch at The William pub.
Kensal Green Cemetery is the final resting place of Anthony Trollope, he is buried alongside many other literary figures, including Wilkie Collins, author of The Woman in White and The Moonstone, and William Makepeace Thackeray, best known for Vanity Fair. The cemetery also has strong connections to Charles Dickens, with several of his friends and family members, including his biographer John Forster, buried within its grounds.
