Trollope Guided Walk in London

Join City of London Guide Paul Baker on a walk around Trollope related areas of London.

Paul’s latest walk will take us through the wonderful area of Bloomsbury. Trollope was born in the heart of the area, and knew it extremely well. We meet at the large statue of Isaac Newton outside the British Library, Euston Rd (King’s Cross St Pancras tube station: take Euston Rd/British Library exit). The route will take us through many of the green squares of Bloomsbury, revealing close connections with AT’s life and work, and also the homes of a startling number of other famous novelists. And we’ll be able to pay homage at the site of the birth-place of the great man himself. Recommended reading, if you have time, is The Small House at Allington. The tour should last just under two hours, and ends near the British Museum.

We meet at 1.50pm for a 2pm start, and the walk costs £10 per person to be collected on the day, with the option of afternoon tea following the walk in a very special (and very reasonably priced!) tea-room, for which there is an extra charge.
