Gaberlunzie, Lord

Father of the eleven Scotts, whose home was Cauld-Kale Castle, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Without wealth to launch his sons in public life, he used great skill in manipulating events so that those indebted to him politically were under some pressure to forward his sons’ ambitions. The two sons most prominent in The Three Clerks are Undy and Val Scott.
